The first issue is polygamy. The Bible tells us that the first man to have many wives was an evil man from the descendants of Cain the murderer. In Genesis chapter 4 verse 19, we read, Then Lamech took for himself two wives, the name of one was Adah, and the name of the second was Zillah. We also read in Genesis chapter 6 verse 2, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful, and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.

In verse 5, it says, Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. As a result, God flooded the earth with a flood, erasing this great evil from the earth to renew it in purity again. Saint Jerome commented on this event saying that the killing of the brother and the second marriage had been removed with the same punishment.

We also read in Genesis chapter 8, so Noah, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood. Of clean animals, of animals that are unclean, of birds, and of everything that creeps on the earth, two by two they went into the ark to Noah, male and female, as God had commanded Noah. It is evident that there were only two sexes, four men, males, and their four wives, females, and likewise form every creature that walked the earth, one male and one female.

Notice, there are no signs of polygamy or same-sex relationships. After the flood, God gave them the same commandment He gave to Adam and Eve, that is, to be fruitful and multiply. That was God’s plan from the beginning. It is upsetting to see that the rainbow that God set in the clouds as a sign of the covenant between Him and the earth is nowadays used as a symbol for gay marriage. This is stealing from God, isn’t it? And that leads us to the second issue.
